Broken Beats

4/4 irregular drum beats define the breakbeat genre and apparently characterised by their intensive use of syncopation and polyrhythms…………..what ever i love breakbeat. Krafty Kuts, Plump DJs and Stanton Warriors definetly hold up the genre for me.

One More Time (Krafty Kuts Remix) - Daft Punk
Never gets old. Da Funk (Krafty Remix) is on B-Side

Plump DJs - Doppler
Doppler has a driving techy feel to it that works itself into a slightly glitch inspired breakdown but then simply tears the roof off once it drops.

Booty Pit (Deekline and Red Polo Remix) - Wu-Tang Clan

Royksopp- What Else Is There (Breaks Mix)
Love the Thin White Dukes remix, an all time favourite.

Brothers Bud

Brothers Bud tracks have found refuge in Having found a home in the boxes of the Plump DJs, Dreadzone, Rennie Pilgrem, Kid Kenobi and Ali B and as a result have been signed onto the Finger Lickin label.

The Sting (Original Mix) - Brothers Bud
Fusion of Breakbeat, Dirty Ripping Electro with Dlectronica squeaks and bleeps thrown into the mix.

Remedy (original mix) - Brothers Bud
Similar style of breakbeat fusion similar to Plumps Djs stuff. Sickk Tracks though

So in my opinion we should go to Area51 this friday and not the Hacienda night at Sankeys………….
