(House)

Laidback Luke dropped this at sankeys and Sam Knights spent all week finding out what the song was. The song is Daft Punk’s and pays respect to their inspiration and it consists of naming off DJ’s that got them into the house music scene.
Daft Punk - Teachers (Original)
Laidback Luke has recreated his own version of the song with electronic beat and using current Djs and artists. I have managed to cut out the laidback luke rework out of the Radio 1 Essential Mix by him. its only a short version but theres nothing on the internet of it at the moment.

(Tech House)

Eric Prydz is on a roll at the moment, without doubt leading the way. His labels Mouseville, Pryda and Pryda Friends are positively brimming with underground club hits.
Eric Prydz plays under several aliases, his most Famous are Cirez D, Sheridan and Pryda
Eric Prydz releases his more commercial songs with vocal use and known samples. Proper Education was number 1 in the charts for 6 weeks along with Call on Me.
Switch - A Bit Patchy (Eric Prydz Remix)
Eric Prydz - Call On Me (Eric Prydz vs. Retarded Funk Remix)
Pryda is another alias of Swedish super producer, yet this underground project is a far from his work as Eric Prydz. The stuff he releases under the Pryda moniker is straight up classic electronic and has evolved into Tech-Electro-Trance in a very similar style to Deadmau5. There is a lot of hype behind some of the upcoming releases from Pryda such as Pjanno and Muranyi.
Pryda - Muranyi
Pryda - Pjanno (Dave Summun Remix)
Pryda - Europa (Original Mix)
Cirez D is my favourite of his Aliases and under the name he released some dirty ripping electronic beats fused into a trance back drop. Definately Download Either Horizons or Knockout.
Cirez D - Knockout
Cirez D - Tigerstyle

(Dub)

Thought id give a little insight into Dubstep a very upcoming genre originating from 2 step. Some commercial artists such as Dizzee Rascal are using dubstep basslines in their work. If you listen to songs such as “I luv u” and “round we go” have massive dub influences. Dubstep allthough very distinct, is linked with many different genres. Herve and Sinden played several dubstep tracks in their mix at paradise factory while their music taste fits more to glitchy electro. Minimal techno artists suchas Ricardo Villalobos and Ellen Allien have been using heavy dub influences in their latest releases. Traces of Dubstep have been linked into Britney Spears new album track Freakshow.
Dubstep originates from London since about 2005 and is a prominantly promoted by Fabric Club. Musically, dubstep is distinguished by its dark mood, sparse rhythms, and emphasis on bass. The beats are slow, Dubstep rhythms are usually syncopated, and often shuffled or incorporating triplets. The tempo is nearly always in the range of 138-142bpm. Rewinds and Bass drops are always features in a live artist. Manchester has a growin dubstep scene with tangled and Monster Monster featuring dubstep artists.
If your looking dubstep music, look into Burial, Digital Mystikz, 8 Bit, Skream, Kode 9, Tayo and Headhunter. Digital Mystikz and Skream doing alot of Co-op work andprob biggest artists at the moment.
The more you listen the more yu get it!!
Skream “Midnight Request Line” - Easily the largest Dubstep Track Released
Klaxons “It’s Not Over Yet (Skream Mix)
Burial- Archangel - One of my favourite Dub tracks. lighter and a faster pace
Digital Mystikz - Haunted - My favourite Dubstep Track. Burn to Cd or put on iPod and get on some decent speakers.
